Spring in Inzell ...
While the last of the snow is melting in the mountains one can already hike and bike in the valley, watch nature waking up and blooming.

Those who want a work out can get it by going up: up the Rauschberg, up the Teisenberg or up the Gamsknogel. There are more than 3000 kilometers of mountain bike trails in and around Inzell. For example, the "King's Circuit" takes you from Inzell and back via Ruhpolding and the Winklmoosalm: 66 kilometers, 985 meters of altitude difference, and up to 18 percent gradients. Alternatively, there are level routes: gorgeous paths, rustic huts and surprising views.

Especially, ambitious bikers can test themselves on the Chiemgau MTB marathon circuit between Inzell, Ruhpolding, Reit im Winkl, Bergen, Schneizlreuth and Siegsdorf. Challenging ascents and exhilarating descents, steep serpentines and forestry roads alternate with stony forest paths. The rewards are all along the way: ice cold mountain lakes to cool off in and charming huts and inns to take a break. The advantage of biking in the springtime is that the temperatures are perfect.

Those who don't want to pedal so much can motorcycle. Inzell is located right on the German Alpine Highway (Deutschen Alpenstraße) with its hairpin bends and stretches for really accelerating. The views are breathtaking all along the way.

This makes Inzell the ideal base for motorcycle trips, for example to the Salzkammergut, the Rossfeld Street by Berchtesgaden, or the Kaiserwinkel. For the ultimate serpentine experience, head to the 48 kilometer long Großglockner road which takes you to an altitude of 2500 meters over 27 horseshoe bends. From the top you can see over thirty snow covered 3000 plus meter peaks.

Welcome to your next spring break in Inzell!
